flowreadr is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use the application.
Your Data Stays on Your Device
Your books, reading progress, bookmarks, and settings are stored entirely in your browser using IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device and is not uploaded to any server. Generated audio files are also stored locally. You can export or delete all your data at any time from the Manage page.
Text-to-Speech Processing
When you generate audio narration, the text content of your book is sent to Microsoft's Edge Text-to-Speech service for speech synthesis. This is the only time your data leaves your device. Microsoft may process this text in accordance with their own privacy policy and terms of service. No other third-party services receive your book content.
Hosting & Analytics
This application is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect basic, anonymous analytics data such as page views and performance metrics. This data is used solely to monitor the health and performance of the service. We do not use any additional tracking, advertising, or user profiling tools. There are no ads.
Your Content, Your Responsibility
flowreadr is a reading tool that processes files you provide. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to use any books or text files you upload. We do not host, distribute, or provide any copyrighted content.
